La Red was so novel that a Dutch patent was granted back in 2009 on all food and drinks sweetened with Coconut Sugar. The Dutch patent is solely registered for long term eligibility of 80%-company tax reduction in The Netherlands. Which means a 12 more years 5% tax rate in the Dutch tax system.
