Havik is de atelierorganisatie voor professioneel beeldend kunstenaars en vormgevers in de stad Groningen en organiseert ruimte voor kunstenaars en vormgevers (makers) uit allerlei disciplines in en om de stad Groningen.Wij doen dit vanuit de behoefte van de kunstenaars: betaalbare werkruimte (atelierpanden/broedplaatsen), ruimte om te experimenteren, ruimte om nieuwe ideeën 'bottom-up' te realiseren, uitbreiding netwerk (lokaal, internationaal). HaViK is ontstaan door samenwerking tussen de HuurdersVereniging Kunstenaars [HVK] en Stichting Art Indeed[A.I.]Beide organisaties werken vanuit dezelfde uitgangspunten waarbij de HVK zich richt op permanente ateliers en A.I. op tijdelijke ateliers en broedplaatsen.HaViK maakt deel uit van het landelijk overlegorgaan ateliers, het LOA. Particulieren en instanties kunnen bij HaViK terecht als zij werkruimtes te huur hebben, voor informatie en advies omtrent de minimale eisen, gemiddelde huurprijzen en andere zaken met betrekking tot atelierruimte. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HaViK is an organisation that creates living and working studio's for professional visual artists and designers from different disciplines, in Groningen (the Netherlands). HaViK supports and provides in several needs of the artists like an (international) network, presentation possibilities and the positioning of the artists in general.The people that run HaViK are all artists themselves and therefore a group of participating creators with their own expertise on different area's, such as art, design,media, housing, development of cultural hubs and more. HaViK consists of the foundation Art Indeed and the tenants association artists HVK. HaViK is the result of co-operation between both artist initiatives. They share the same principles and goals:- affordable studio's- space for presentation and experiment- space for organizing projects bottom-up- expanding local, national and international contacts between artists.
