Voetbalvereniging GAVC. Opgericht in 1922 en afkomstig uit het mooie Friese Grou (gelegen tussen Heerenveen en Leeuwarden). Sinds 2010 heeft GAVC de beschikking over een hagelnieuw sportcomplex (met een kunstgrasveld als hoofdveld), gelegen in de hoek tussen het Prinses Margrietkanaal en de A32. Dit seizoen (2012/2013) komt het eerste elftal uit in de zondag tweede klasse. Vrijwel alle jeugd-selectieteams spelen in de hoofdklasse.
