Welcome to the Facebookpage of the Entrepreneurs for future Asia (EFFA) foundation. This pool of entrepreneurial Dutch students sets up sustainable projects in the area of education and sports & games in orphanages throughout Southeast Asia. In this way, EFFA contributes to the well-being and happiness of underprivileged children. The projects are characterized by a personal and local approach.

Entrepreneurs of the EFFA foundation are able to set up their own project, on a voluntary basis, in the field of the foundation. With their own creativity, decisiveness and initiative they can give their personal touch to the project. Backed by the EFFA foundation, entrepreneurs start their project with a fundraising event in the Netherlands. Next, they will travel down to the chosen orphanage in Southeast Asia to set up the sustainable English lesson program and focus on sports and games. When they leave Asia and head back to the Netherlands, the entrepreneurs have realized a daily English lesson program.

EFFA is an expression of our interests and involvement in the Asian culture. During several trips to Asia we were touched by the fact that many less fortunate children deserve better and many hopeful futures of children are unexplored and lost due the lack of chances and opportunities. Returning in the lecture halls of the University of Amsterdam we realized that we are born in a very privileged position and that everyone deserves education. With the foundation of EFFA we want to inspire and encourage entrepreneurial Dutch students to join the EFFA foundation and make an effort for the less fortunate children throughout Southeast Asia!

We hope that EFFA inspires students with an entrepreneurial spirit and the heart in the right place to make a difference. Just like us.
