Algemene informatie

I'm an artist and do illustrations, drawings and paintings. I use this page for updates on exhibitions, new works but also sketches that will never make it to an portfolio. I also post stuff of other artists i like and influence me.

English part about my own work:
Jacco draws portraits with a twist. It seems as if he starts with the image of an arbitray person, and then let’s his inspiration go. The drawings are therefore (or maybe inspite of that), pleasantly ambiguous. You never know whether it is a sad or happy image, and more important, you don’t care.

Dutch part about my own work:
Jacco tekent portretten met een bepaalde gelaagdheid. Er zit (zwarte) humor in en een sfeer van vervreemding. Het lijkt erop alsof hij een tekening begint met een willekeurig onderwerp of persoon en laat dan zijn inspiratie de vrije loop. De tekeningen zijn daardoor(of misschien ondanks dat) op een plezierige manier dubbelzinnig. Je weet nooit zeker of er sprake is van verdriet, pijn of vrolijkheid(extase).

Parttime employed as webdesigner/frontend developer. I'm specialized in HTML, CSS, Wordpress, Adobe creative suite, GUI design, responsive design.
