I’m Micaela, but all my friends call me Micas. I’m a Portuguese designer with a special love for crafts and children’s universe.
All of Micastricas’ products are handcrafted in a fun combination between craftsmanship work and new technologies, being silkscreen on fabric one of my favorite techniques.
The baby bodysuits are hand printed with water-based ink and made of 100% organic cotton.
By exploring materials and techniques I create colorful and playful objects that trigger child's interaction.
I’m mostly inspired by my own childhood memories, but also by my surroundings, Portugal (from where I am), The Netherlands (where I live) or other cities to where I travel.
Micastricas' started officially in 2013 and is now based in The Netherlands, in my lovely studio in Rotterdam.
