Het Nederlands Kustverlichtingsmuseum is gevestigd in de oude vuurtoren ‘het hooge licht’.
De dertig meter hoge vuurtoren is gebouwd in 1893 en bestaat uit zes verdiepingen.
Tot 1974 heeft de vuurtoren als kustverlichting dienst gedaan.
Nu is er een permanente tentoonstelling over de historie van vuurtorens, modellen, lampenwisselaars, propaangaslantaarns, radiobaken, fotomateriaal en boeien.
Vanaf het hoogste punt van de vuurtoren heeft u een schitterend uitzicht over Hoek van Holland.

Openingstijden:
Mei tot en met september, elk eerste en derde zondag van de maand van 13.00 tot 16.00 uur en op afspraak.
Toegangsprijs: € 2,-, kinderen tot en met 12 jaar gratis.

The Kustverlichtingsmuseum (Coastal Light Museum) is located in the old lighthouse 'Het hooge licht'.
The thirty meter high lighthouse was built in 1893 and consists six floors. Until 1974 the lighthouse was used as a coastal light. Now there is a permanent exhibition about the history of lighthouses, models, lamp switches, propane gas lanterns, radio beacons and photographic material.
The highest point of the lighthouse provides a magnificent view of Hoek van Holland and the 'Nieuwe Waterweg' .

Opening times:
May - September. On every first and second sunday of the month. From 13:00 - 16:00 o' clock.
The entrance fee is 2 euro. Children to twelve years old can enter for free.
